For all of you cat lovers, I've decided to offer up another in my series of animal pieces. With this print, as with the owl portrait, Focus, that I posted recently, I've tried to capture the essence of the housecat. To me, of all the domesticated species, they most closely straddle the line between domestication and wildness. Anyone who "houses and feeds" a cat knows that underneath that cute, cuddly, purring exterior is an amply equipped, stealthy predator, ready to pounce . . .
